The Hydrocarbon Development Institute of Pakistan (HDIP) is Petroleum Research & Development (R&D) Institute working as a body corporate under Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), established through an Act i.e. "Hydrocarbon Development Institute of Pakistan Act, 2006. The HDIP intends to hire a highly skilled and motivated professional as a Consultant (Legal) (on lump-sum/fixed monthly retainer ship basis negotiable at the time of interview) purely on contract basis for a period of one (1) year extendable subject to satisfactory performance, who shall be responsible to conduct/defend all the court cases from Civil Courts to Supreme Court of Pakistan throughout Pakistan on behalf of Institute, as the competent authority may assign from time to time and who will also provide legal opinions on the referred matters& vetting of documents.
Eligibility Criteria
1. LL.B/LL.M in Corporate Law from foreign/local HEC recognized University.
ii. Minimum of 25 years' experience as an active practicing Advocate and at-least 15 years' experience as an Advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan.
iii. Candidate should have in-depth knowledge of corporate affairs, service matters, civil and taxation matters and regulatory laws dealing with Petroleum / Oil & Gas Sector.
iv. The candidate having experience as Legal Advisor / Consultant Legal with any Government, Semi-Government. Autonomous bodies or regulatory authority will be given preference.
v. Maximum age Limit: 68 years (on closing date).

a) Interested candidates may submit their applications through HDIP's website (www.hdip.gov.pk)using the prescribed formator National Job Portal (www.njp.gov.pk) within 15 days of the publication of advertisement. The applicants then also send the completed application form along with detailed CV alongwith attested photocopies of CNIC, educational certificates/degrees, experience certificates, licenses and other relevant documents to General Manager (Admin & Accounts), Hydrocarbon Development Institute of Pakistan (HDIP), Head Office, Plot No. 18, Street No. 6, Sector H-9/1, Islamabad within 15 days of the publication of the advertisement.
b) Applications & required documents received after due date shall not be entertained.
c) No TA/DA will be admissible for the Interview.
d) Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview.
e) The Institute (HDIP) reserve the right to cancel the recruitment/selection process at any stage without showing any reasons.
