The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), the apex regulator of Pakistan's capital markets and corporate sector, is seeking the services of highly qualified, results-oriented, energetic, and enthusiastic legal professionals with impeccable integrity for the following positions in its Prosecution and Legal Affairs Division on contractual basis.
Division Head/Executive Director
(Prosecution & Legal Affairs Division-Islamabad)
No of Positions: 01
Age Limit: The maximum age limit is 55 years as of the application deadline.
Nature of Job: Contractual-03 years (extendable on need and performance basis).
Qualification:
Position LL.B. or LL.M. from a reputable. HEC-recognized university and the candidate must be enrolled as an advocate of the High Court.
Candidates who are also enrolled as Advocates of the Supreme Court
of Pakistan, have reported judgments in corporate law, and Qualification demonstrate experience in legal advisory and legislative drafting will be given an advantage.
Preference will be given to candidates who have completed a Bar-at-Law course after LL.B. or have obtained an LL.M. degree and have prior experience in the financial sector.
Experience:
A minimum of 20 years of relevant post-qualification experience preferably in corporate law,
with at least 5 years in a senior legal leadership role such as head of the legal department within a large. reputable organization, demonstrating proven leadership, policy advisory expertise and strategic oversight.
Director-(Prosecution and Civil Litigation Department-P&CLD)
No of Positions: 01
Age Limit: The maximum age limit is 50 years as of the application deadline.
The Commission may consider to regularize this position (after three years) subject to meeting the criteria prescribed for this purpose.
Nature of Job: Contractual-03 years (extendable on need and performance basis).
Qualification:
LL.B.or LL.M. from a reputed HEC-recognized University and must be enrolled as an advocate of the High Court.
Preference will be given to candidates who have completed Barat Law course after LL.B. or have obtained LL.M. degree and prior experience in the financial sector.
Experience:
A minimum of 15 years of relevant post-qualification experience preferably in corporate law and criminal prosecution (white-collar crimes) and corporate advisory.
NOTE: Detail of reported cases (10 minimum) & decided cases (50 minimum) preferably related to corporate matters, list of pending Trial & High Court cases as an Independent Counsel or Public Prosecutor and related post (s) held should be clearly provided in the proforma given in TORS.
