Power Planning & Monitoring Company (PPMC) is mandated to provide policy and technical support to Ministry of Energy (Power Division), integrated planning of the Power Sector of Pakistan, development and implementation of strategic plans for power sector, and to administer, monitor and evaluate performance of Power Sector Entities under the approved policies/plans.
The Company is seeking applications for the following position from the eligible persons, who can perform the tasks assigned to the Company. The first 03 months shall be on probation and thereafter shall be continued as per company policy. The candidates must have strong interpersonal skills, outstanding problem solving skills and ability to exercise sound judgment based on accurate and timely analysis, outstanding communication, minute writing, analytical & problem-solving skills are pre-requisite. Ideal candidate should have ability to prioritize work well under pressure. The candidate must be IT Savvy. Integrity and maturity should be an essential attribute when handling confidential company information.
Specialist Technical
Responsibilities
Supervise and manage all technical aspects and ensure compliance with industry standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements for electric distribution companies.
Oversee quality assurance for power distribution equipment to ensure quality and uniformity. Design and maintain technical specifications and standards for materials and processes used in power system.
Improve standards and specifications based on technological advancements and industry best practices. Conduct risk analysis and mitigation strategies towards risks related to materials of electric distribution systems.
Conduct rigorous technical assessments of suppliers. Their quality assurance processes and compliance to standards.
Develop and implement quality assurance programs for the power distribution network. Perform audits and inspections to verify adherence to standards and specifications.
Lead research initiatives to improve the efficiency and sustainability of electrical distribution systems. Explore innovative technologies and assess their potential for implementation.
Analyze innovative ideas and strategies to evaluate their feasibility for power distribution systems. Write detailed working papers on technologies and the potential impacts of policies. Conduct cost-benefit analyses to support policy and technology adoption.
Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for stakeholders.
Document findings and recommendations from research, inspections, and quality assurance activities. Provide training and guidance on technical standards and quality assurance practices.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reliability
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities (SKA)
Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (16 years) from HEC recognized / affiliated institute / university having valid PEC license.
A Master's in Business Administration / Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering will be an advantage.
The candidate must have 05 years of relevant experience in a reputable national/multinational organization.
Pakistan power sector experience and certifications in relevant field will be preferred.
The candidate must have experience of standards design and evaluations of equipment quality used in distribution system.
The candidate should possess following:

Deep knowledge about international and national standards IEC, ANSI, NEMA, IEEE, ISO, Distribution Design Standards (DDS) and Product Description (PD) of electrical equipment.
Experience in technical report writing and analysis.
Knowledge about Power sector problems and their solutions.
Knowledge about industries working for power sector. Strong presentation and report writing skills.
Remuneration & Age
The selected candidate will be offered a market based, competitive remuneration package, commensurate with their skills and experience.

Assistant Specialist Technical
